I’d be pleased to join the board of trustees for the Heavens, bringing expertise and experience in nature finance, nature policy and community food growing. I’m keen on helping the Heavens incorporate community food production, generate revenue from nature markets, and become an exemplar and model for others wishing to do similar nationally.

I’m well placed to guide an approach to nature markets for the Heavens. I’ve a strong knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and the nature-based carbon market (having set up the Gloucestershire Nature and Climate Fund which aims to stimulate nature markets).

Having managed the Gloucestershire Local Nature Partnership for 3 years I’ve a strong knowledge and connections with the Wildlife Trust, District and County Councils, Universities (RAU and Glos) etc. which may be of use.

I’ve a thorough knowledge of nature policy, including SFI, EWCO and LNRS (so many acronyms!). I set up and run the All Party Parliamentary Group for Local Nature Recovery, bringing parliamentarians together on important nature issues, so am plugged in to all the latest developments.

Having acted as secretary of the Board of the Community Supported Agriculture Network UK for 5 years I’m keen to explore promotion of community food growing.

I live on middle street with my wife, two girls (5 and 13) and young dog - we enjoy the heavens almost daily. In short, I think my nature-sector knowledge and connections mean I could add significant value to the ambitions of the Heavens for the whole community.
