Invitation to shareholders to attend
the first Annual General Meeting of

the Heavens Valley
Community Benefit Society

Join us at the Subscription Rooms for our first Annual General Meeting where shareholders come together to discuss the past year’s achievements and look at future plans.

Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of the decision-making process and have your voiceheard.

  • Doors open: 6.30pm

  • Bar open: 6.30 – 7.25pm

  • Choir performance (tbc): 7.20pm

  • AGM starts: 7.30pm sharp

Please note that Registration closes at 7.20pm - we expect a big turnout and will need to register everyone (to make sure you are eligible to vote) on arrival. The bar will be open while you wait! Our volunteers are all shareholders and they need time so they can attend as well! If you arrive after this time there is a strong possibility that you won’t be registered and so not able to vote. So please arrive in good time to collect your voting card (and proxy card, if applicable - see below).

You must be over 16 years of age to vote at the AGM.

If you are not able to attend, you can still have your say by nominating someone to vote on your behalf (a “Proxy”). To do this, please email info@heavensvalley.org.uk by Friday 19 September, giving your full name, confirmation that you are over 16, and your membership number plus the name (and if possible the membership number) of the person who will be carrying your proxy vote. Each attending member may carry one proxy vote.

We are looking for volunteers to help us with the AGM. If you would like to help on the night, please email Fiona at volunteers@heavensvalley.org.uk - we’d love to see you. And, if you’d like to be involved in the longer term, there will be members of the team for you to talk to on the night.

We’ll be taking photos and filming the event for our website and publicity. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, please let one of the team know.

Finally, don’t forget to vote for directors - we’ll be opening the voting soon and holding thevoting open until midnight on 26 September 2025. You will also be able to vote in person at the SVP shop in Threadneedle Street - more details to follow.

It would really help us if every shareholder books their own individual ticket to the event - this will help us reconcile and register before the meeting.
