We have exciting news of two short-term roles to help us get started with Volunteer Land Management and Community Engagement. The generous funding from Summerfield Trust has allowed us to bring the 102 acres of Thrupp Farm, including the iconic Heavens Valley, into community ownership.

We are developing longer employment plans in both role areas which you would be eligible to apply for in future.

Land management Volunteer Leader, Heavens Valley, Stroud - part time

We are looking for a self-employed, experienced volunteer leader to help us establish community volunteering, undertaking a range of habitat and access management work in the community-owned Heavens Valley.

The role is part time and temporary (12-hour week for 3 months at £25/hr) while we develop longer term employment plans. If you have land management volunteer leadership experience and the enthusiasm to help us build community volunteering, we’d love to hear from you.

Community Engagement Co-ordinator, Heavens Valley, Stroud - part time

We are seeking a self-employed dedicated and dynamic Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the final planning and start the implementation of our comprehensive community consultation and engagement plan for Heavens Valley. You need to be task orientated, experienced and self-motivated with experience of complex consultation processes and working with volunteers.

The role is part time, (24 hours week /3 days a week at £25/hr) for an initial three-month contract starting in October 2025.

The Directors have agreed an outline plan for the engagement of the Community, which we would like to progress and we want experienced help to conduct a community listening phase over next three months.
